Memorable First Date

Our first date was pretty simple, since I was only 16 at the time.
We drove to a high school football game in my mom’s 1966 Thunderbird. I still remember it rained and we never got out of the car. We sat in the parking lot during the game and played cards. I still don’t remember feeding her anything, so it was a pretty cheap date.
I drove her home, gave her a small first-date kiss on the doorstep and went home. Karen and I still differ on whether we kissed on the first date, so apparently it wasn’t a very good one. But to this day, over 35 years later, I still swear we did. She says no way. Let’s just assume my version is right — since she doesn’t spend a lot of time on the internet.
Use the “comments” link below and tell us about your first date. (Keep it clean boys and girls.)

My husband and I were friends in college before we started dating. So our real first date would have been from me typing his college paper and he would take me out to dinner. It was a good arrangement for both of us.
When we officially agreed to date. We had a very romantic dinner getting dressed up, flowers, and cards (and I did not have to type a paper for that dinner.) Almost ten years later, we are still going on dates and having a great time.

We really didn’t have a “first” date. After my first husband and I divorced I started hanging out with some good friends I knew all through high school and college.
Mike and I were both single with a child, so we started doing “kid” stuff together. So I’m not sure if the drive-in with the kids in the back of the mini-van is considered the first date or the night we stayed up til the wee hours of the morning talking was the first date. The first time Mike kissed me was the night of the talking all night, so I consider that the first date. Twelve years and 3 more kids later we are still going strong!
Josh and I are both into sports so our first date was going to a McDonald’s All-American slam dunk and 3 point contest!!! This was a very relaxing environment for a first date! It was at our school (Bethel College) and the best high school basketball players around the country were there. We had an awesome time watching them perform and after that we went back to his apartment and watched Sweet Home Alabama!!! We have been married over 7 months now and it has been a great journey!
Just like Rodney, Josh claims that he kissed me on our first date, but he did not!!!! Like father, like son I guess
